Behind the Scenes of My Latest Art Release: “Facets of Girlhood”

Greetings from the studio!

I’m so excited to finally share this new collection with you!

This is a challenging period for so many of us. In conversations with friends and clients it seems like everyone is going through *something* right now. I’ve been in a lot of talks lately about how focusing on small wins, small bits of progress, and noticing and celebrating the bits of beauty in our lives every day can help us through. Focusing daily on glimmers of personal progress, great friendships, your favorite color on a wall, a piece of art that makes you smile; all these things can have an immense impact in the grand scheme of things. In today’s world where we see everyone’s highs and lows broadcast on a grand scale on social media every day it can become harder to focus on these tiny details in our own lives., Today I encourage you to journal on these things in your life and to prioritize your focus on those glimmers.

In my art I add joyful color to fuzzy black and white memories. If we adjust our point of view, we can do the same when our lives feel dull, and our happiness is out of focus.

This is why I am so passionate about the power of art and design. Adjusting our everyday lives in little ways can be transformational. Focusing on what we consume daily with our senses and having that intention to surround ourselves with more of what inspires and delights is POWERFUL. It can help us turn the dial towards the lives we dream of. Even more important: when we take the effort to support ourselves and what brings us joy, we can then let that beauty we cherish spread outward to the greater world around us.

I hope you enjoy this collection.

In this work I’ve chosen to solidly focus on female joy and celebrating the small moments of connection and buoyant self-expression in our lives. They magnify the beautiful memories we’ve made and continue to make that we can hold and cherish forever.
