Art Inspired Decor: A Serene Japandi Bedroom inspired by Twiggy Boyer

Twiggy Boyer’ utilizes found photos in her work in a way that makes her art feel like a familiar memory. Looking at her pieces reminds me of precious moments with loved ones, of moments in my childhood backyard soaking up the sun and enjoying the smell of lilacs in spring. It inspires me to stop and appreciate the fleeting preciousness of the current moment - to stop and smell the flowers more in my own life more.

The piece I’ve chosen to feature in this room is at the time of my posting available for purchase on Twiggy Boyer’s website at the link below

There’s a serenity that I feel when I look at the artworks created by Twiggy Boyer. I’ve been inspired to translate that serenity into a minimalist Japandi inspired bedroom space. I like to think it would make a wonderful retreat for a mother, as motherhood is a theme that often also comes up in her pieces. (and with mother’s day recently passing - It must be in the forefront of my mind how no one deserves a quiet place to rest quite like a mother).

Soft linen bedsheets from Citizenry and a plush rug from West Elm bring sensual comfort, while natural elements of rattan, floral elements, and a faux olive tree bring the comforts of nature into the space.

Check out all of the buyable pieces along with others that I think would fit into this bedroom theme on the pinterest board I created for this project
